Cooped in because of dreaded COVID-19!
After talking with our residents about the last 12 months as you can imagine the words ‘Corona Virus’ have been mentioned thousands of times, we have all been desperate to go out and enjoy ourselves as a stonebow family. So, we decided to investigate different events that could raise money for the home, we decided to go for a coffee morning where NOK could sit outside with their families and people that were not at stonebow could still participate by buying raffle tickets and playing some online games to raise money.
9th July 2021 – The coffee morning has arrived!
The sun is shining and there is not a cloud in the sky the new gazebo is up, bunting and balloons are scattered around the courtyard. Raffle prizes galore! Hot tea and cake ready to be served. 10am and everybody has arrived we are fortunate enough that our food supplier Appetito are here to show off their summer menu – laughter and music fills the courtyard and after the year from hell this is exactly what we all need to boost the morale.
Before we know it is 11.30am and time to draw the raffle! Residents and visitors picked the winning tickets out… Big thank you to everybody who donated amazing raffle prizes within the home and local businesses in and around Pershore. Big well done to everybody who won!
As the coffee morning ended, we tidied the courtyard while residents enjoyed their lunch, we then added up all our fundraising money and were overwhelmed to find out that we had raised over… £500
Everybody is so thankful and excited to be able to put this money towards going out on a stonebow family trip we will keep you all updated where we go!
